Irish Language Surf Camp : Campa Surfála - Ag Surfáil trí Gaeilge
Consists of Surfing Instruction through Irish ( and backed up with english for safety and understanding)
The purpose is to encourage and develope oral Irish language skills while learning to surf and learning about water safety through Irish.
The participants will be encouraged to speak through irish during the surf lessons.

- Monday to Friday
- 2pm - 4.30pm each day
- 1st, 2nd & 3rd year students
- All equipment provided ( feel free to bring your own full length wetsuit )
- Cost €150pp
Lesson Content
Typical lesson starts with 15 min land based instruction & safety at the surf school through Irish, followed by wet suit fitting & changing time. A light warm up at water’s edge, then into the surf with your instructor for approximately 1 hr 15 mins. Instruction takes place in waist depth water for enjoyment and safety, then it’s back to the surf school to recap on the lesson as gaeilge
Equipment
We provide all equipment , wetsuits , booties , surf boards.We would encourage you to bring your own wetsuit if you have one.

Swimwear & Towel, Sunscreen
If you have your own winter wetsuit you can bring it along, (shortie wetsuits/ summer wetsuits are not suitable for lessons- we provide winter suits).
A 3.4% booking fee applies to all bookings
This is a 5 Day week with one session every day.Days and times may vary to suit tides and waves.we reserve the right to cancel sessions if unsuitable conditions arise, in this event a new date will be rescheduled. Days missed by members can not be rescheduled or refunded. Once the course has started all refunds are void due to limited spaces alotted to session.
